In September 2006, the French Science and Finance National Departments granted the "Young Innovative Company" Award to forMetris. This award was given in recognition for all the research done to build our innovative training evaluation services.
The award for the "best entrepreneur project" was given to forMetris by the "Ecole Polytechnique" Foundation.
For the first time in its history, the Foundation, chaired by Jean-Martin Folz (CEO of PSA), is rewarding a project related to human resources.
The award was officially given on April 1, 2005 during a ceremony presided by Mr. Francois Loos, Foreign Trade French Minister, Mr. Yannick d'Escatha, Chairman of the board of the Ecole Polytechnique and Mr. Paul Combeau managing director of the Foundation.
forMetris is a company specialized in training effectiveness evaluation.
The company was created in December 2004 by two alumni from "Ecole Polytechnique", the highest-ranking engineering school in France, Laurent Balagué and Nicolas Méary. The forMetris
evaluation system is based on a set of best-in-class questionnaires and benchmarking analyses which provide a better, more significant interpretation of collected data. The process
also involves the evaluation of critical dimensions such as the achievement of the training objectives and the effective implementation by the trainees.
The "Ecole Polytechnique" Foundation is a key link between the Engineering School and the private sector. The Foundation, chaired by Jean-Martin Folz, is helping the School to
increase its international coverage, to finance research projects and to support entrepreneurs thanks to the "FX Entrepreneur" honor. This award is awarded each year to an alumnus who has created
an innovative project for a future good or service.
Last year, the award was awarded to Direct Energy, an electricity distribution company focusing on the small business market.
While giving the award, Paul Combeau declared: "forMetris' innovative methodology and their use of benchmarking analyses to enrich evaluations appealed to the jury. Their offer meets an important need in companies to monitor and rationalize their training investment. Moreover, it allows training companies to better meet their customer expectations. We believe that this approach is very promising today, as training is more than ever a key factor driving company performance."
